French luxury fashion house
Celine unveiled its Spring 2026 men's and women's Collection by new creative director Michael Rider.
Presented under a majestic silk scarf canopy over the courtyard at the House's historic 16 rue Vivienne headquarters, the exquisitely elegant collection marked the highly anticipated debut of Rider who was appointed by Celine in October 2024.
Drawing from the legacies of his predecessors, the show featured models wearing muted trench coats, pinched-waist blazers, oversized rugby shirts paired with slim-fit skinny jeans and cigarette trousers, fluid trench coats and bold-shouldered jackets, oversized sweaters, striped ties, denim jeans, sequined gowns and off-the-shoulder black dresses, footwear such as logo-printed boxing shoes and patent leather Mary Janes. Accessories featured Silk scarves, layered jewelry, gold chain necklaces, charm-adorned bracelets, and a new gilded belt buckle.
The collection's color palette of black, white and beige was punctuated by pops of crimson, cerulean, and emerald, adding vibrancy to the otherwise restrained aesthetic. The brands' ideals of quality, timelessness and style are translated into attitudes embodied by the looks. By pairing sporty collegiate influences with Parisian refinement Rider seamlessly blends Celine's storied heritage with his own vision, shaped by his tenure at Polo Ralph Lauren and a decade under Phoebe Philo at Celine.
'Celine stands for quality, for timelessness and for style. I've always loved the idea of clothing that lives on, that becomes a part of the wearer's life, that may capture a moment in time but also speaks to years and years of gestures and occasions and change, of the past, the present and the future, of memories, of usefulness and of fantasy, of life really,' Rider said in a letter distributed before the show.
With a play on Celine's codes and heritage, the collection ushers in a new era for Celine that honors its past while embracing a modern, inclusive elegance.
